Seborrheic dermatitis (SD) is a chronic, erythematous and eczematous disease with unknown pathogenesis. The relationship between SD and the human leukocyte antigens (HLA) is not established. Observational case-control study was developed by comparing the expression of HLA genes in 55 patients with SD and 97 healthy volunteers matched for age, sex and ethnicity. HLA class I and II were typed by PCR-SSOP technique. The statistical analysis was performed and categorical data was compared between groups using the chi-square or Fisher’s exact test (p <0,05). The statistically significant alleles found for the SD group were: A*32, DQB1*05 and DRB1*01.Downloads
