Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The paper must be original and cannot be simultaneously submitted to other journals. Publicum’s team strives to provide fast responses to submissions.
- A master's degree is required for publication purposes. Regarding co-authorships, at least one of the authors must comply with this requirement.
- The papers must be submitted in .doc or .docx format, A4 sheet size with 3cm upper left margins and 2cm bottom right margins.
- Body text should be formatted in Calibri font, size 10; citations of more than 3 (three) lines and footnotes should also formatted in Calibri font, size 9.
- Papers must contain an abstract in Portugues - as well as in another language (English or Spanish) - of up to 150 words each. Five keywords should also accompany submissions, both in Portuguese and in the second chosen language.
- References throughout the text can be formatted in author-date style – e.g.: (SUSTEIN, 2004, p. 34) – or in numeric style (as footnotes), according to ABNT rules (NBR 6023). Bibliographical references should be included at the end of the paper in accordance with NBR 6023.
- Papers must be 15 to 50 pages long (including abstracts, footnotes and bibliographical references).

An attached document to the submission must be sent, containing a brief bibliography, the qualification and the institutional affiliation.
* The sections of the paper must be numbered progressively according to NBR 6024/2003.

7) The author(s) agree(s) to the final form of the paper approved by the journal.
8) The author(s) authorize(s) the disclosure of the paper in the channels of communication of the Faculty of Law of UERJ.
9) The author(s) agree(s) with the reproduction of short extracts from the paper in other UERJ publications.
10) The author(s) recognize(s) that, through the abovementioned assignment and authorizations, he/she/they will not receive payment under any modality, meaning these will have the nature of scientific collaboration.
11) The author(s) is(are) aware that publication of the work may be refused if it is not considered appropriate, for any reason, whatsoever, and such refusal does not create responsibility and/or burdens of any kind to the journal or UERJ.
