Espiritualidade e religiosidade no processo de reabilitação das pessoas com deficiência

Este estudo teve como objetivo identificar a literatura sobre a influência da espiritualidade e religiosidade nos cuidados de reabilitação das pessoas com deficiência. Foi realizada uma revisão integrativa, com busca nas bases de dados: Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, Scielo, Cinahl, Scopus, Web of Science e MEDLINE/PubMed, sem delimitação temporal. Avaliação das informações ocorreu de forma descritiva, confrontando com os achados pertinentes. A amostra final foi representada por 31 artigos, sendo dois nacionais e 29 internacionais. Em relação ao tio de deficiência, a maioria dos estudos tiveram participantes com deficiência física (87,1%), sendo a lesão medular a causa mais expressiva encontrada (61,3%). Conclui-se que a religiosidade e espiritualidade assumem um importante papel no processo de reabilitação, despertando a resiliência, como atributo essencial para a autonomia, melhoria da vida e saúde de pessoas com deficiência. Os achados deste estudo suscitam reflexões por parte dos profissionais de enfermagem a respeito da influência da espiritualidade e religiosidade no cuidado em saúde e a importância da incorporação dessas práticas no processo de reabilitação de pessoas com deficiência.
