Abstract

The article refers to the dimensions of writing and clinical listening concerning the feminine. We explore aspects of these dimensions in their interconnections with the feminine: from the writings of authors like Virginia Woolf to the clinical listening of a case. We draw on conceptual and methodological assumptions from Freudian and post-Freudian theories, while maintaining a dialogue with post-structuralist references, to discuss texts addressing writing and the feminine, as well as to analyze excerpts from a clinical case. We understand that conceptions and experiences of the feminine are articulated with writing and clinical practice, presenting possibilities for listening to the feminine and for expanding critical work regarding phallocentric hegemony
