Abstract

School violence does not include only explicit manifestations of aggression and illegal acts, which feed the mass media and heighten the sense of insecurity. It involves microviolences as well, also called incivilities by researchers.  This everyday phenomena becomes invisible and potentially harmful to relationships, impairing learning and undermining confidence and hope among those who work with education. This article reflects on this particular form of violence, referring to the need for public attention to design a school care policy.
