This article investigates the negative reaction of a police officer, in a post on the social network Facebook, to the presence of an image from the comic book Castanha do Pará, by Gidaldi Júnior, at an art exhibition, in Belém-PA, in 2018. For as such, a descriptive-interpretative methodology is used, in which the post is analyzed based on the conceptual metaphors that structure the visual elements of the image. Thus, when approaching the ideological value of the monomodal animal metaphor BOY IS A URUBU in the image, we observe the emergence of two conceptual metaphors: the monomodal PUBLIC SAFETY IS WAR AGAINST HOMELESS SUBJECTS, in the post, influenced by their reality; and the multimodal PUBLIC SECURITY ACTION IS WAR, which he criticizes for being untrue.
