The book addresses the growing rivalry between the United States and China, predicting a possible conflict soon. The main argument is that China will not surpass the United States as a superpower due to the demographic crisis and the scarcity of natural resources, as well as economic growth supported by debt, and therefore, it may adopt a more aggressive posture to take advantage of the power transition's window before it closes.
