O livro resenhado dedica-se a introduzir o conhecimento sobre os autores clássicos das Relações Internacionais. Há prefácio e introdução dos autores, nos quais definem as linhas gerais e a homenagem do livro (a Gildo Marçal Brandão). O livro é composto por 15 capítulos, nos quais se aborda, em cada um, pensadores clássicos e/ou alguma teoria específica, com vias de mostrar a os leitores reflexões explicativas tradicionais das relações internacionais. Pode-se, cum grano salis, perceber três grandes eixos estruturantes do livro: 1.Estudos estratégicos ou realistas; 2. Estudos de integração regional e cooperação; 3. Reflexivismo. O livro é uma coletânea, escrita por acadêmicos de diversas origens. Fornece um instrumento didático para graduandos em relações internacionais; associando análise teórica e extratos originais.
ABSTRACT
This book introduces the thinking of some classic authors in international relations. There is a foreword and an introduction by the authors, in which they set forth the general approach and the book’s tribute (dedicated to Gildo Marçal Brandão). It has 15 chapters, each devoted to classical thinkers and/or a specific theory, which introduce readers to traditional reflections explaining international relations. Broadly speaking, the book is structured along three main axes: strategic or realist studies; 2. studies of regional integration and cooperation; 3. reflectivism. The book is a collection of works written by scholars from different backgrounds. It is a useful reference for undergraduate students of international relations, offering a combination of theoretical analysis and original passages.
