Abstract

A presente resenha tenta dar conta da singularidade do livro sobre assimetrias e relações internacionais do Womack; tem como base principal a sua leitura analítica, por tanto, coloca no início as conceitualizações que refletem sobre as contribuições teóricas e práticas do livro. Em segundo lugar, propõe pensar dinamicamente nos diferentes capítulos que compõem a obra, sem entrar em detalhes sobre conteúdo, mas com suficiente profundidade analítica como para compreender o argumento do livro. A resenha convida a ler a obra completa, a quem quiser saber sobre as vantagens da teoria da assimetria e suas aplicações atuais, e se converte em um atalho para os leitores menos envolvidos com a teoria das relações internacionais e as dinâmicas mundiais de interação entre Estados.

ABSTRACT

This review attempts to account for the singularity of Womack's book on asymmetries and international relations; is based on the analytical reading of it, therefore, in the beginning it puts the conceptualizations that reflects the theoretical and practical contributions of the book. Second, it proposes to think dynamically of the different chapters that make up the book, without going into detail about content, but with enough analytical depth to understand the book's argument. The review invites readers to read the full work, whoever wants to know about the advantages of asymmetry theory and its current applications, and also becomes a shortcut for readers less involved with the theory of international relations and the worldwide dynamics of interaction between States.
