Neste trabalho busca-se compreender como a expressiva imigração de haitianos para o Brasil a partir de 2010 resultou na criação da chamada proteção complementar humanitária. Inicialmente implementada para atender à demanda específica desse grupo de imigrantes, esse tipo de visto temporário foi incorporado à nova Lei de Migração brasileira, que tem como uma de suas diretrizes a acolhida humanitária.
ABSTRACT
This paper seeks to understand how the significant immigration of Haitians to Brazil as of 2010 has resulted in the creation of complementary humanitarian protection. Initially implemented to meet the specific demand of this group of immigrants, this type of temporary visa was incorporated into the new Brazilian Migration Law, which has as one of its guidelines the humanitarian reception.
