A IIRSA compreende um fórum de integração firmado em 2000 em Brasília, reunindo os países sul-americanos com o intuito de definir de uma estratégia de trabalho conjunto com vistas à integração das infraestruturas nacionais, para fazer frente ao problema da fragmentação da infraestrutura física instalada na região. Este artigo analisa os impactos de seus projetos em comunidades locais.
ABSTRACT
IIRSA is an infrastructure integration forum launched in 2000 in Brasília, bringing together countries from South America with the purpose of setting a joint working strategy geared towards integrating national infrastructure to address the problem of the fragmentation of the physical infrastructure in the region. This article analyses the impacts of its projects on local communities.
