ABSTRACT
One of the cornerstones of Brazil’s international projection in the present day is the vibrancy of its agricultural sector, which has asserted its presence in the international system through participation in and leadership of different groups, such as the Cairns Group, created during the Uruguay Round for the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) between 1986 and 1994.
