Abstract

O presente texto visa apresentar apontamentos preliminares sobre como a questão do contato intercultural tem evoluído na tradição teórica de Relações Internacionais. Da mesma forma, procura-se também compreender melhor como seria possível promover padrões mais harmônicos de convivência multicultural dado que os mais variados grupos humanos se encontram nos dias de hoje, cada vez mais, em uma nova, acelerada e potencialmente conflitiva dinâmica de interações em uma escala nunca antes vista.

ABSTRACT

This text aims to present some preliminary findings about how the issue of intercultural contact has developed within the theoretical tradition of international relations. Likewise, it seeks better to understand how more harmonious patterns of multicultural cohabitation can be fostered in view of the fact that the most varied of human groups are increasingly coming into contact with one another in a new, faster-paced and potentially conflictive dynamic of interactions on a previously unseen scale.
