Abstract

Desde a criação do campo das Relações Internacionais, a produção acadêmica tem dado certo enfoque nos desafios concernentes à manutenção da paz e da segurança internacional. Dentro do subcampo da segurança internacional, o estudo sobre conflitos armados é um tópico amplamente discutido. Assim, o presente artigo tem como objetivo explorar as contribuições acadêmicas brasileiras sobre a temática, publicadas nos anais eletrônicos dos eventos da Associação Brasileira de Relações Internacionais (ABRI), entre os anos de 2007 e 2017, visando identificar em qual direção os artigos produzidos nesse período contribuem para com os estudos sobre conflitos armados.

ABSTRACT

Since the creation of the International Relations field, academic production has given a certain focus on the challenges concerning the maintenance of international peace and security. Within this subfield of international security, the study of armed conflicts is a widely discussed topic. Thus, this article aims to explore the Brazilian academic contributions on the topic, published in the electronic proceedings of Brazilian Association of International Relations (ABRI) events, between 2007 and 2017, in order to identify in which direction the articles produced in such period contribute to the studies on armed conflicts.

Mestre em Relações Internacionais pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (PUC Minas). Atua como membro do conselho executivo dos periódicos do Departamento de Relações Internacionais da universidade, que são: Conjuntura Internacional, Estudos Internacionais e Fronteira. É membro da Rede de Pesquisa em Paz, Conflitos e Estudos Críticos de Segurança (PCECS), da International Studies Association (ISA), e das seguintes seções da ISA: English School Section (ENGSS), International Security Studies Section (ISSS) e Peace Studies Section (PEACE).
