Abstract

The book International and World Problems from Latin American Thought, edited by Silvia T. Álvarez, Eduardo Devés-Valdés, and Carlos Federico Domínguez Ávila, explores the theoretical contributions of Latin American thought in the field of International Relations. The work is organized around theories, schools, networks, concepts, doctrines, and figures, in order to cover both traditional approaches to diplomacy and international relations as well as other global issues. Topics such as law, economics, politics, and culture are highlighted, offering a broad view of the different actors and dynamics that make up the international system. Through these multiple perspectives, the book invites us to rethink international relations, taking into account hegemonic and alternative projects that reflect the diverse realities of the region.
