Hate speech addressed to teacher identity: a semiolinguistic analysis of the “Escola sem Partido” page on Instagram

Bearing in mind that discursive studies aim to contribute to the understanding and, therefore, to the solution of social wounds, the present work aims to, based on the analysis of two posts from the page “Escola Sem Partido” on the social network Instagram, identify hate speeches addressed to the Brazilian teaching identity. To this end, based on the Semiolinguistic Theory of Discourse Analysis, by French researcher Patrick Charaudeau, we intend to discuss the concepts of communication contract (Charaudeau, 2001), semiotization of the world (Charaudeau, 2005), subjects of discourse (Charaudeau, 2001) and socio-discursive imaginaries (Charaudeau, 2022). Furthermore, this article is also anchored in the postulates of Barros (2015), Butler (2021) and Paveau (2021) regarding hate speech in order to recognize it in the corpus presented.

Ana Carolina dos Santos, Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF)
É graduada em Letras (2012-UFF), pós-graduada em Leitura e Produção Textos (2015-UFF) e mestre em estudos de Linguagem (2023-UFF). Atualmente é doutoranda do instituto de Letras da UFF, associada à linha de pesquisa sobre teoria do texto e do discurso. Seus estudos têm como foco a análise Semiolinguística do Discurso, com base na investigação das mídias digitais. É membro do grupo de pesquisa em Semiolinguística – Leitura, fruição e ensino (GPS –LeiFEn/UFF/CNPq). Já atuou como professora de Língua Portuguesa na Secretaria Estadual de Educação, no Instituto Jeilson da Costa Antunes e no Grupo Alfredo Backer de Ensino. Atualmente é professora de Produção Textual no Instituto Gaylussac e, na Escola Bre- tanha, ministra a disciplina de Estudos Literários.
