Andreas B. Kilcher is Professor of Literary Theory and Cultural Studies at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule [ETH] in Zurich and is author of a vast theoretical-critical work in the field of literature and cultural studies. Focusing on themes that lie at the intersection between literature and other fields of knowledge and in the specific field of studies of German-Jewish literature and culture, Kilcher is one of the most prominent commentators on the work of Franz Kafka. He recently organized a book with Franz Kafka's drawings, which were mostly in the estate of Max Brod, only currently accessible due to the long and complex legal dispute that ended with their allocation to the state of Israel. The work contains critical essays of his own and by Judith Butler, and was published simultaneously in 7 different countries.
