Analysis of two multimodal productions on the conduct of the President of Brazil towards COVID-19 in the light of the Theory of Metaphor and Conceptual Blend (LAKOFF; JOHNSON, 2002[1980]; FAUCONNIER; TURNER, 2002; FORCEVILLE, 2006, 2008), in order to describe cognitive structures and processes underlying the construction of meanings of the selected objects. The analyzes reveal networks of double scope in both conceptual representations of the productions, which aim, through the mixture of linguistic, imagetic, gestural and audible signals to tell a story of vulnerability and losses caused by the negativist and frivolous posture of the head of the nation.Downloads
