Abstract

In this article, we aimed to comprehend the discursive functioning of international events on the Portuguese Language, organized and promoted by International Institute of Portuguese Language (IIPL), from the textualization available in the events’ web site. For that purpose, we adopted the theoretical-methodological perspective of Discourse Analysis based on the work by Michel Pêcheux and Eni Orlandi, articulated to the History of Linguistic Ideas. We identified that the discourse of linguistic colonization and decolonization operate and produce producing senses for the Portuguese language and, consequently, for language policies.

Possui graduação em Letras - Inglês e respectivas literaturas (2012), pela Universidade Comunitária da Região de Chapecó - UNOCHAPECÓ. Mestre em Estudos Linguísticos (2014) pela Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul – UFFS. É membro do Fronteiras - Laboratório de Estudos do Discurso (UFFS) e do Grupo de Estudos em Análise de Discurso (UFFS). É estudante do Grupo de Pesquisa Lingua(gem), Discurso e Subjetividade (UFFS). Possui experiência na área de Analise de Discurso, História das Ideias Linguísticas, Língua Inglesa, Língua Portuguesa e Leitura. Professora de Língua Inglesa, da Secretaria de Educação do Estado de Santa Catarina.
