In this article, a brief reflection is proposed on the relationships between cinema and poetry in the first decades of the XXth century in Brazil and Portugal. Special emphasis is given to the modes of reception of the new artistic manifestation by writers of the time as well as to the less predictable authors of themodernist movement.
