Abstract

The article analyzes the imagery of Eu and “Outras poesias”, highlighting the aspects that bear the special characteristics of Augusto dos Anjos’ lyrical voice, such as his strong penchant to emphasize the more concrete aspects of reality as well as its tumultuous features.

Sérgio F. Martagão Gesteira, UFRJ

Professor associado da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, lecionou durante vários anos em universidades europeias. Contista premiado, é autor do ensaio sobre Augusto dos Anjos A carne da ruína (Prêmio Mário de Andrade 2000, da Fundação Biblioteca Nacional), bem como organizador do volume Obra reunida, de Dante Milano (2. ed., 2013).
