Abstract

The sociological point of view on Science, accounts for the role played by communication in contemporary scientificactivity. This article develops four dimensions of the relation between science and communication. At first the question of the exchange of the information and the knowledge shared by researchers, then the question of the publication and the valuation of scientific results. It is also concerned with the question of the popularization and the distribution of the scientific knowledge by specialized journalists. And it finally addresses the question of the use and instrumentalization of the media by certain members of the scientific community.
