Under the perspective of the Usage-Based Functional Linguistics (cf. FURTADO DA CUNHA; BISPO; SILVA, 2013; ROSÁRIO; OLIVEIRA, 2016), this article aims to postulate the existence of a broad constructional network associated with the [X de]connect schema in Portuguese. The central hypothesis is that this schema contains at least two subschemas to which several connecting microconstructions responsible for the combination of non-finite hypotactic clauses in Portuguese are linked. This study, notably from a theoretical approach, adopts a qualitative methodology. The checked results prove that instantiations of the [X de]connect schema distance themselves from its prepositive canonical uses and start to figure in the domain of interclause connection.Downloads
