The study discusses the concept of territory on Geography academy since the theme's association as a (pre)condition of National States existence to more evolueted explanations such as multiterritoriality and the idea of territories as processes of space appropriation. From this analysis and through bibliographical survey in other social sciences (such as law studies and political sciences) and in the brazilian legislation, it is established a dialogue on how territory concept is approached (as a object to studies) and how this reflects e interacts in Geography itselfs. In this context, can we speak of territorialities in jure manner (those who are legally constituted) and territorialities in facto manner (as it's observed material conditions of appropriation and power relations in space) when it is considered the possibility of multiple territorialities in space? Although the territory theme is thought sometimes in an objective way, ponderations like this reveals it's complexity.Downloads
