The present research is an experience with students of basic education, who are inserted in a research process to know better the history of Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul, with the objective also to approach a public university, decreasing the ways between school and university. The work involves photographs that serve as the guiding thread to understand concepts such Place, Landscape, Geographic Space, Nature and Culture, as well as variations of the research process such as ABNT rules, scientific methods and types of research sources.Downloads
