This article intends to discuss the production of property based on the dispute over space. A relationship that seeks to reverse the emphasis presented in the statement of this dossier, that of “how land ownership, rent and income affect urban living”. This “inversion”, however, does not deny the entire relationship exposed, but seeks to illuminate “how urban living”, crossed by disputes, “affects property, rent and income”. Understanding “property” as a moment of value production and social reproduction, especially in the form of income. And formulating the question through its affiliation with the last chapters of Capital and the proposal of Marx's “trinitarian formula”, from which the contradiction is established between “production of the body”, “production of space” and “production of value". The body appears as a moment of work (productive, reproductive, unproductive), space as a moment of the earth, body and space can be understood as free gifts, the first of which is human nature and the second as nature, and value as combination of processes and relations of production and property under capital. A trinitarian relationship that has a historicity, metamorphosing in the emergence of massive industrialization and urbanization and that is restructured in contemporary capitalism, under the dominance of the financialization of the economy and social relations, a praxis dominated by the emergence of neoliberalism.
