The technical registry contributes to the municipal collection, which in turn, returns to the population through urban public services, such as the installation of infrastructure and the implementation of new urban equipment. In building the registry, free geotechnologies are tools that enable the identification, analysis and correlation of spatial data, which optimizes time and financial resources. In this sense, the objective of this work was to analyze the applicability of the products generated from free geotechnologies in the development of the technical register, for the cities of Montes Claros, Brasília de Minas and Luislândia, in the North of Minas Gerais. This work is justified by the importance of the technical register, since the data generated contribute to municipal planning and management, allowing information on the territory to be obtained. The methodology used consisted of literature review, development of cartographic products from SAS.Planet and QGIS software, visit to the technical records of the cities of Luislândia, Brasília de Minas and Montes Claros. As a result, it was found that city halls have a computerized technical registry and its structure comprises analog and digital data. Based on the analyzes carried out, free geotechnologies present satisfactory results in the construction of the technical register for the municipalities in the North of Minas Gerais, regardless of the size of the urban area and the municipal revenue.Downloads
