Organized local organic agrotourism networks are an important contribute factor that could change public policy regarding tourism. Connected to the everyday life of farm communities, these networks can contribute to an emerging sense of regional self-identity encouraging economic and ecological sustainability. This paper presents Rede Brasilidade Solidária (Solidarity Network of Brazilianness) and its work in Santa Rita, a rural area of Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro. An organic agricultural touristic route based on concepts of Solidarity Tourism in Santa Rita is presented, along with an informational map, and a Solidarity Community Fund is proposed to provide action in this region.Downloads
