The present article discusses concepts of humanistic geography and its phenomenological area referring to the relationship between men and Earth. This relationship happens in the influence of the environment on men, likewise in the creation of significances and values which influence the environment. Attempting to the importance of the symbolic aspect in geography, with which signification is inserted to the concrete world, this article methodology is a bibliographic research on cultural geography, humanistic geography, philosophy and psychology materials, on which the central theme is the relationship between men and environment. The article suggests reflecting the need of a reconnection of humans with the environment, and its goal is to connect the space symbology with its perceptions.
