Digital capitalism constitutes a regime of accumulation and an emerging development model, which tends to enhance the most aggressive aspects of neoliberalism, promoting the comprehensive commodification of life. Its most developed forms are social networks, digital platforms, apps and artificial intelligence. This type of capitalism is outlining a profound change in production, but also in culture and daily life, outlining a new type of space-society relationship, where information and technology are key factors for the construction of new structures of power and domination through ideological, political, behavioral and preference control of citizens. In digital capitalism, the complex and unstable nature of the territory deepens and worsens. The emerging scenarios are destructuring, both to experience them and to study and understand them, due to the leap in scale, complexity, depth and speed of the ongoing metamorphosis. This represents an enormous conceptual and methodological challenge for territorial studies, as well as for territorial planning in Latin AmericaDownloads
