Urban forms and interfaces: place meaning in post-modern city

Abstract

This article aims to identify what new place qualities are revealed today. At the moment, where the real architecture, the virtual network and new social practices appear to merge, we need to develop new configurations of place in the territory. To this end, we begin from some acceptations that define the essence of the place and from recent examples of social practices of space and architecture, examined in light of these theories and from the point of view of its relations with new communication and information technologies.
