Abstract

The article aims to analyze the recurrence of framings in two Brazilian information magazines – Veja and Época – to report the disaster at Santa Catarina, in late November, 2008. From the premises of the Constructionist Theory of journalism discussed by Traquina, from the framing concept by Goffman and the aesthetic of repetition from Calabrese, it will be examined how the publications framed the event and investigated the hypothesis that both magazines used similar strategies even not being part of the same editorial project.
