Abstract

Technological changes are quickly incorporated to every day life as products and services,  defining the current transition times between the industrial and the pos-industrial civilizations: knowledge is the new people’s richness paradigm. Qualified personnel are highly valued by those changes, converging interests of academic community and productive sectors, generating a suitable neighborhood. The continuity of this process, that favors the country competitiveness is menaced by a premature retirements ‘announced crisis’ but, can be mitigated by an effective support to teachers’ work. Using a ‘case study’ as an real example, we analyze the results obtained at the Extension Course on Mobility Design - FAAP, São Paulo, trying to demonstrate the possibilities, efficiency and effectiveness in this kind of innovative proposition.
