Catholic anti-abortion activism in Argentina: performances, discourses and practices

This paper is interested on the political action of anti-abortion Catholic activismin Argentina, and the different performances of collective action that such groups developin the urban public space. It analyzes how those calling themselves pro-life groups maintaina discourse opposing the legalization of abortion based on the deployment of scientific andbioethical arguments as a way to counter the presence and mobilization of feminist organizations,and oppose their demands for a voluntary pregancy interruption law.Downloads
