Abstract

How to apprehend, in their diversity, arts that paradoxically do not share the occidental notion of art? This article aims at exploring some of the peculiarities of the indigenous arts and more particularly those applied to the human body, such as painting and other ornaments, and which are articulated with the native notion of corporality.
