Abstract

Cultural and social factors have always been present in the analysis of the Brazilian carnivals. More recently, economic factors of the party also became visible. This paper aims at analyzing the Brazilian carnivals under the light of the public administration in its relation to the feast. More specifically, it analyses the carnivals in Recife (PE), Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and Salvador (BA).
