RURALIDADES NA METRÓPOLE DO RIO DE JANEIRO: DESAFIOS PARA A ANÁLISE

Abstract

A compreensão da escala metropolitana requer cada vez mais um nível da análise da complexidade da vida coletiva. A diversidade e a multiplicidades de ações, projetos, definem a vida coletiva e reconfigura o território. O presente artigo tem como finalidade problematizar a dimensão rural da vida coletiva no espaço metropolitano do Rio de Janeiro a partir dos estudos sobre a vida dos pescadores artesanais na Baía de Guanabara, averiguando problemas enfrentados no contexto da urbanização caótica e da intensificação da industrialização.

ABSTRAC

Understanding the metropolitan scale requires an ever higher level of analysis of the complexity of collective life. The diversity and multiplicity of actions and projects define collective life and reconfigure the territory. This article is meant to problemitise about the rural aspect of collective life in metropolitan space of Rio de Janeiro from studies about the life of artisanal fishers at Guanabara Bay, by inquiring problems which are faced in the context of a chaotic urbanisation and of the intensification of industrialisation.
