ANÁLISIS FODA DEL PUERTO DE TAMPICO, TAMAULIPAS, MÉXICO. UNA REVISIÓN DE LAS CARACTERÍSTICAS DE EFICIENCIA

RESUMEN
Es indudable que el desarrollo del comercio internacional contribuye al progreso de los países, lo cierto es que el aumento de esta actividad exige eficiencia en los nodos de la red comercial, lo que delega a los puertos el reto de buscar la competitividad en la prestación de cada uno de sus servicios. Es por ello que el objetivo de este estudio es realizar un análisis de las fortalezas y oportunidades, debilidades y amenazas (FODA) del Puerto de Tampico, Tamaulipas, México y, de este modo, determinar las posibles formas de aprovechamiento de los recursos físicos a fin de lograr la necesaria eficiencia portuaria.

ABSTRACT
Is undoubted that the development of the international trade contributes to the progress of the countries, the certain thing is that the increase of this activity demands efficiency in the nodes of the commercial network, which delegates to the ports the challenge of looking for the competitiveness in the presentation of each service. Is for it that the aim of this study is to realize an analysis of the Strengths, Weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) of the Port of Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico and, thus, to determine the possible forms of utilization of the physical resources in order to achieve the necessary port efficiency.
