Abstract

The objective of this article is, through a bibliographic review, to explore the evolution of the rights of Egyptian women between the Pharaonic and Roman times, passing through the Ptolemaic. It has been noted that there was a decline in their rights with the arrival and generalization of the Greek legal system. However, this setback is nuanced and does not prevent women from continuing to be active economic and legal subjects.
