The treachery of names (of foods)

In this paper, based on materialistic Discourse Analysis, we propose to analyze a “MANIFESTO”. This is a document produced by an italian organization that criticizes the use of names usually assigned to animal- based foods on plant-based foods. Drawing a parallel with the Surrealist movement, the organization tries, in many ways, argue that the use of names can cause different problems. Therefore, we try to analyze their words considering specially questions about language and world to gather the sense effects produced.
