Abstract:

We have been trying to show here a certain theoretical-critical-method concerning the emergence of the term collective.gesture as a manner of nominating great part of the cultural organizations activated since the Lula.Dilma times: a horizontal gesture, necessarily porous, thought as a diverse political-economic nature of art and culture, thought as an ecosystem capable of distinguishing great numbers and names of actors-artists-intellectuals from all corners. All over Brazil, occupations of public spaces and equipments of art and culture were articulated: manifestations that created visibility for the tyrannical process of assassination of a Vital Political Project. Unlike other historic moments (in which the voices that rose higher as vectors of political resistance were those of labour unions and traditional social movements), in this post-Lula-and-Dilma (post-Gil-and-Juca) Brazil, it is in art and culture that the necessary and urgent knowledge of resisting is more visibly found. It is what we try to state here as an opening.
