Resumo

Este trabalho tem como objetivo geral discutir, como diz o título, a experiência de intensidade atribuída ao ano de 1968 e a violência de Estado contida nas leis da Educação Superior implantadas no Brasil no período da ditadura (1964-1985). Para tal, o texto divide-se em quatro eixos: a) reflexões sobre os sentidos da intensidade em 1968, onde se inclui também a questão da violência, no mundo e no Brasil em especial; b) apresentação dos principais acontecimentos e das críticas relacionadas à política educacional da ditadura para o Ensino Superior e para o controle do movimento estudantil, com apogeu no ano de 1968; c) aprofundamento da análise dessa legislação, observando sua relação com a violência de Estado e com os objetivos de modernização econômica do país segundo os ditames da Doutrina de Segurança Nacional; d) discussão sobre o significado de “estado de exceção” em termos teóricos, reexaminando suas origens históricas a partir do domínio colonial e, desde aí, trazendo considerações sobre a “excepcionalidade” da lei educacional no Brasil sob a ditadura.

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss, as the title shows, the experience of intensity attributed to the year 1968 and the State violence contained in the laws of Higher Education which were implanted in Brazil during the dictatorship period (1964-1985). Therefore, the text presents four axes: a) some reflections on the meanings of the intensity in 1968, which also includes the issue of violence, in the world and in Brazil in particular; b) a presentation of the main events and criticisms related to the educational policy of the dictatorship for Higher Education and for the control of the student movement, with its apogee in 1968; c) a deeper analysis of this legislation, observing its relation with State violence and with the objectives of economic modernization of the country, accordingly to the dictates of the National Security Doctrine; d) a discussion of the meaning of "state of exception" in theoretical terms, reexamining its historical origins from the colonial domain and bringing considerations about the "exceptionality" of the educational law in Brazil under the dictatorship.
