ABSTRACT
This article is divided into three sections which together seek to show that Argentina’s current foreign policy is a typical Peronist policy, albeit adapted to the opportunities and challenges inherent to the twenty-first century. The first part analyses the changes in the international system and the political leanings of Argentina’s leaders and people after the crisis erupted in December 2001, spawning the current external and internal drivers of its foreign policy. The second part focuses on how this policy is expressed, as seen in the most emblematic chapters of Argentina’s foreign policy. The third part concentrates on the “how” of its foreign policy, in the decision-making process.
Palabras-clave: Política exterior argentina, gobierno de Fernández de Kirchner, Toma de decisions.
