Focus and Scope
The aim of the Journal is to provide a platform for the researchers and academicians throughout the world to speedily publish (free of payment), share and discuss various new findings and developments mostly in the areas of Sedimentology and Stratigraphy.
The editors welcome high quality papers related to the worldwide characterization and evolution of the present and past sedimentary environment. This includes Sedimentology, Sedimentary Basins, Sequences Stratigraphy, Classic Stratigraphy, Reading the sedimentary record in different contexts: Palaeoceanography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeontology, Geomorphology, Evolution of life (early life, biostratigraphy, biogeography, paleoecology and mass-extinction), Biogeochemistry, Geochemistry, Quaternary Geoscience, Marine Geology, Surface processes (weathering, erosion, transport and deposition of sediments), Sedimentary Mineralogy, Sedimentary Petrology, Organic Petrography, Sediments associated with hydrothermal systems, Economic Geology (associated with the sedimentary environment), Petroleum Exploration, Mineral deposits and hydrocarbons, Present and past sedimentary dynamics, Archaeological studies (in association with sediments).
