The Landscape Study contributes to understand the conservation and mitigation issues of environmental impacts in the river basins. The scope of this study is to carry out analyzes of the anthropic and morphometric transformation of the Piraputanga River Basin, in the municipality of Cáceres in Mato Grosso, Brazil. For the generation of maps of vegetation coverage and use from 1980 to 2020 and the analysis of Anthropic, Linear and Areal Transformation, geotechnological tools were used. Livestock increased in the years researched, causing deforestation and fragmentation of vegetation. Nevertheless, the state of conservation of the landscape remained regular during the years investigated. The basin has an elongated shape and low quantity of water courses and less capacity to develop them. The basin is of the sinuous type and the bifurcation indicates that the number of channels decreases on average three to four times when moving from a lower to a higher order, indicating a hilly relief. We conclude the insertion of different types of land uses, over time, caused the fragmentation of the vegetation cover of the basin, which may in the future have an adverse effect on the state of conservation of the landscape.Downloads
