Abstract

This paper aims to analyze how the Hollywood movies represents people with disabilities and how this representation contributes to the social inclusion of those people. The research subjects analyzed are the movies: Son-rise: a miracle of love (1979); Rain Man (1988); What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (1993); Forrest Gump (1994); Mercury Rising (1998); I’m Sam (2001); Radio (2003) and Mozart and the whale (2005).
