Advanced Granite Company Marketing Strategies For Those People Who Want More Profits

You want to be in the Pay-Per-Click and/or Sponsored Results up there in the top yellow box and down along the right side. Pay-Per-Click is Pay-As-You-Go -- your ad only shows up when somebody searches for your specific key words. Your ad is only shown to your best customers who are searching specifically for what you have to offer. You set how much you are willing to pay, and you only pay when somebody clicks on your ad -- the fully qualified buyer.

One great aspect to think about is your time. How much time do you want to spend on this. Are you a workaholic? Regular 9 to 5 person? Morning person? Evening person? These are all good question to ask yourself before you start your search. Do you know how you want to divide your time. It would be sad to get into a business and then figure out it's not for you. Plus, know this will be useful in picking the types of businesses that might interest you.

Of course this might sound crazy to some but the point of what I'm saying is not a hypothetical example I'm giving above. The idea is to think outside the box. Why do people buy donuts? What questions do people have before they buy donuts? If you can make a list of about 20 questions that your customers ask you most frequently and answer those in at least three different ways you are well on your way to success.

How the big three search engines do it isn't public knowledge as each of them tries to outdo the other so they can provide the search results you are looking for. Remember those crazy commercials about search results that Bing ran last year? The funny thing is the Bing search software wasn't that much better.

Go to every supplier who you do business with and have your business name, address, phone, and especially your URL added to their dealer locator. If they don't have one, encourage them to start one. If they say no, ask if there is any way they can give you a mention somewhere on some back page. A link from a supplier has huge juice in improving your ranking.

Another thing about competition... it doesn't always come in the form of a competing business. Think about the many things that "compete" with you for the attention of your target audience. This can come in the form of TV, Facebook, and other entertainment outlets. This is where crafty advertising comes into play. If you have researched your audience, you can possibly find out where the best places for advertising need to go. In this way, you can actually use your competition as a platform to help spread your message.

Well things have changed. If you are a business owner you need to be on the front page of Google. Here is an example. Let's go to the Google external keyword tool and do an experiment. This tool is VERY helpful. You can access it by going to Google Search and typing in Google Keyword External. This is the tool that you can use to find out how many people type in a certain keyword or keyword phrase. For this example I am going to use the small city of Peterborough, Ontario. The population there is about 75,000 in the winter to about 100,000 or so in the summer (by comparison, the population of Toronto is around 3 million).

The point of being in business is to be profitable. There are many successful business models. Which one is the right one for you? This is a great question to ask yourself early on because time goes by fast and you don't want to be jumping from one idea to the next. It's always good to formulate a plan, one which is based on reality and availability. A lot of first time business buyers fail to buy a business because they wait too long for the right business to come along and eat away their savings and lose the ability to be a business owner because of this.

Don't need content any more? It's just not true. Folks, unless there's thousand of people pathologically interested in what you had for lunch, you need good quality content in social media. Another way to look at it is social media is micro-content, simply micro-content. Small amounts of content.

Are you sure you want to sell your small business? How much do you want to sell? Who have you decided to sell to? These are questions you must put to rest before putting up your business for sale. If you don't find the answers to the questions above ahead of time, you are only avoiding a stumbling block that will get back at you in the heat of the process.

Remember, though it may be tempting to use another person's content, the best thing for you to do is create original content that will not go against any previously written work. While it is all right to use other people's content creations as inspiration for your own, it is best to allow your own thoughts out on the topic. This will also help to give you a voice of your very own while content writing.

I can't stress this enough. Free marketing is good marketing. More importantly, I find that I can come up with marketing ideas in my downtime, on the bus, or even when I'm brain-locked trying to come up with a post for my blog. Article Marketing works, don't take it from me, try it yourself.
