Apresenta-se uma metodologia para a definição de cenários de ventos horários em regiões de implantação de parques eólicos visando apoiar estudos de planejamento para a evolução do parque gerador do sistema elétrico brasileiro. A metodologia utiliza modelagem estocástica autorregressiva para a construção de uma amostra com elevado número (milhares) de cenários anuais visando posterior aplicação de técnicas de discretização de variáveis contínuas para seleção de um conjunto menor de cenários (dezenas) que serão explicitados nos modelos de planejamento. O artigo apresenta uma aplicação a partir de um histórico de 41 anos de registros de ventos horários em área promissora para instalação de aerogeradores no estado da Bahia.
