Abstract

The process of industrialization is both historically and geographically contingent. Recently, the debate surrounding the geography of industries has garnered renewed attention. This text aims to contribute to this debate by examining the factors that have shaped Brazilian industrialization, particularly those elements that have contributed to the decline in the competitiveness of the national industry. Initially, the primary aspects of the New Brazilian Industry program, launched in 2024, will be presented. Subsequently, an analysis of seven critical points related to the Neoindustrialization initiative will follow.
