The current context of contemporary capitalism is marked by neoliberal policies that promote the approximation between the State and the business community, which is reflected in several sectors. Nature, which has always been commodified, today becomes part of an ecological market, as long as the environmental protection has become an accumulation strategy, with the privatization of protected areas. The work intends to present the scenario of privatized management of National Parks (PN) in Brazil, contributing to the debate about the new configurations that arises from the corporate appropriation of environmental protection. The methodology was based on bibliographical and documentary research. Among the results achieved, we identified that of the 74 existing PNs, 25 are in some stage of the private concession process of their management, a number that until 2016 was only 3. Therefore, there was a percentage increase of 733% of PN in the private concession process.
